KIDS Live!
Lights. Camera. Action.
Try on the roles of newscaster, weather forecaster, cameraperson, and actor. At KIDS Live!, you become a part of newscasts from around the globe, either in groups or as a solo broadcaster.
At the Children's Museum of South Dakota's own television station, Green Screen technology transforms blanks walls into action packed settings. A second stage next to the newscast desk provides a place for theatrical performances designed for optimal creativity.
Staging a production or acting out a part allows kids to have a sense of control over what and how the action happens. Kids can explore the 'what if' and 'risky' possibilities in life in a safe way. KidStreet's KIDS Live! give kids a place to take on new and different identities to see how they fit.
Come to KIDS Live! to:
- Boost stage and screen performances through a variety of fun costumes and props
- Enhance theater play through sound and light booth
- Paint faces at the makeup counter for the camera spotlight
- Give a solo performance, or work together to produce a play for all
